Frequently asked questions
How does the Copa Sudamericana Simulator work?
It starts from the real Copa Sudamericana 2026 group tables and fixtures (the qualifying stages before the groups aren't included). Type a score for any remaining match or press Simulate: the group tables update instantly. Once the group stage is complete, the knockout phase is seeded from the tables and can be played to the final.
How are the clubs rated?
Clubs come from many countries, so Brazilian clubs start from their form in the Brasileirão this season, scaled by the division, and clubs from leagues not on Foot Simu start from a default for the competition. Their results in the Copa Sudamericana then update the rating as the season goes on.
How is the knockout phase decided?
Group winners, ranked 1st to 8th by their group record, go straight to the round of 16. Runners-up, ranked 9th to 16th, play a two-legged knockout play-off against the eight clubs that finished 3rd in the Copa Libertadores groups (17th to 24th), and the winners meet the group winners in the round of 16. The better-ranked club plays the second leg at home in every round, and a tie level on aggregate goes straight to penalties. The final is a single match. Until the real draw, the pairings follow the seeding.
How are the chances calculated?
The Chances tab plays the rest of the group stage and the whole knockout phase 5,000 times from the current results, including your predictions on the group stage, and counts how often each club wins its group, finishes in its group's top two, reaches the final and wins the Copa Sudamericana.
Is Foot Simu free?
Yes. Foot Simu is completely free and you don't need an account.
